To avoid potential security threats to server, remote MySQL connections are disabled by default in cPanel servers. Remote hosts can be added in server which allows to connect the service by using remote MySQL connection between WHM and cPanel interface.
To enable the techniques, you need to follow these steps:
Enabling Remote MySQL in the WHM Interface
Step # 1: Login into WHM & type Additional MySQL Access Hosts in search box.
Step # 2 : In Additional MySQL Access Hosts page, , enter one or more hosts or IP addresses in the text box .Then click the Save button. To activate Remote MySQL connection for all user go to Click Here option.
Enabling Remote MySQL in the Domain cPanel Interface
Step # 1: Login into domain cPanel. Click on Remote MySQL option.
Step # 2: In the following page, you can add a hostname or IP address in Add Access Host area. Then click the Save button.
If you want to delete a host or IP address from list , you need to click on Delete option.
